Oh man. I just don't know what to say. That is horrible. I can't imagine what that is like for her, and her poor family too. I can't imagine the devastation her parents are going through. :(

I wish I could wave a magic wand, and wish this pain away, but sometimes we are here for hard lessons, no matter how unfair it all seems. I guess my belief in reincarnation is the only thing which keeps me from railing at life's unfairness, since I realize that like Ecclesiastes says, there is a time, and a purpose to everything. To some it is given to live long, long lives, and to others, a short and bittersweet life. But lessons are learned, and a life lived is always important, to itself, and others around. It sounds as though you are truly acting in a manner that really makes your student happy and comfortable, which is very difficult in these circumstances. I am glad for her that she has you, and that you have her. Hope this made some sense! *Hugs*
